Target Doorstep Returns

Target Doorstep Returns enables Shipt customers to leave Target Marketplace items they would like returned on their doorstep for a shopper to pick up next day and return in-store at Target Guest Services. This new Return order will be offered to the shopper as a new work type and include all the standard actions & flows that exist for shoppers today.

I worked with PM and the Target team to figure out what the pilot was going to look like and how returns were going to be handled from a business standpoint. We ended up launching a pilot for 23 areas and more coming up which will lead the team to learn more about shoppers’ desirability / interest in Returns as a new work type, and logistical feasibility when fulfilling Returns. The team will leverage these learnings to understand where to focus strategically to ensure Returns is a success as we move forward.
